Hey Bhagwan !!

It was a blunder..

No matter how famous he is. He should know how to behave in front of his home crowd. Hmm.. Raghu Dixit!! Who called almost 40,000 people NAN MAKLA at Yuva Dasara - 2009 !! Shame on the people who still listened his concert with such a treatment from the singer. Finally he lost his value. From this we learnt Experience makes man perfect. Look at any of ARR, SPB, Ilaiyaraja's concert. Or people who have perfomed in Yuva Dasara may it be Hariharan, Sonu Nigam, Shankar Mahadevan or Kailash Kher, The way they performed.. Huh!! Such big-vigs with such a good behaviour. The other day I met Shreya Ghoshal who was extremely polite & down to earth when she talk to anyone else. Remember she is a singer who is having 5 Filmfare Awards, 3 National Awards. I am not comparing, Just gave you the stats. May RD not repeat these kind of things in front of people who love him very much & give much respect more than anything. Please Raghu!! For the sake of your dignity. If not atleast for the sake of your MUSIC !!!

Dhan Te Nan..

If you miss this you will be a looser! Vishaal Bharadhwaj does it again. After the most excellent Omkara, Now he has created a new language in Indian Cinema. Kaminey, Its having all the potential & ability to become a text book in world cinema. The classic caper, roller coaster is here. Kaminey is not a path breaking or thought provoking movie. It entertain you like anything. After a long time you will feel like going back to theatre to watch a movie for the second time. In India we have seen films some over enthusiastic & so called hindi movies like KANK, Kambaqt Ishqq, Om Shanti Om & Life partner which was released along with Kaminey. If you are dissapointed with the performance of Hindi Cienma Industry all these days, Now you have Kaminey to praise Hindi Cinema. People who were thinking Priyanka can only wear swim suit should watch Kaminey. You will be awstruck with the performance. Special mention for Amol Gupte who plays Bhope Bhau BTW he was supposed to direct Taare Zameen Par, Chandan Roy Sanyal who plays Mikhail in the film. Amol Gupte is a surprise package for everyone. Now you'll come to know why Ram Shankar nikumbh of TZP was a great teacher. If you have not watched Kaminey yet, I suggest you not to miss the mock gun play between Bhope & Mikhail.
Charlie & Guddu are twin brothers who were betrayed in their childhood after the disaster suicide of their father. There after Charlie & Guddu will be having their own life. One well executed scene bring them back on the same floor. How they come its really awefome oh sorry awesome. First fifteen minutes you feel that its the same old thread of Bollywood films. One brother is a gangster who is introduced through an action sequence. Another brother is introduced through a song. But after this regular formula based intro for a movie Vishaal Bharadhwaj comes into picture in an ecstatic way by fixing up an all of a sudden marriage between Guddu ( Shahid ) & Sweety ( Priyanka ) who already carrying. Now Karan Johar would have done a bunch of movies with this single plot using London as the backdrop & Parents of Sweety living in Melbourne and all that stuff. Here it happens right there during a well written song "Raat ke dhai bhaje.." Then we have a very confusing yet extremely well handled hotel scene where Charlie plans to recover his 1 lakh from Francis who is have ruined his savings of five long years. I think this is the special spike of the film.
Bhope Bhau who is a 100% Maraathi politician cum gangster have delivered a power packed performance. Again an extreme special mention from the bottom of my heart goes to the song Dhan Te Nan.. This song gives a boom to the pace of the film. After a long time we can recco our friends to watch a film. Kaminey is worth watching and a must watch movie.

Dont SMS during the show, Dont be late & concentrate on each and every scene because Vishaal Bharadhwaj tests the people throughout the movie. Dont forget any of the thread in the movie. Otherwise you will lose an extremely entertaining movie. Dont miff it!! Itf really a fenfafional finema... Ha ha.. Lisping may becaome you hobby after watching Kaminey..
Hope you'll watch it soon...

SFM Turned Red FM !!

SFM.. The name which was in the soul & heart of Indian Radio Lovers is now RED FM. Memories with SFM is on a much much large canvas. I was born with SFM, Whenever I start "You are listening to Red FM" I feel something special is going on.. Walking on a new road called Red FM. May this road lead to a great destination. Well I think destination is a wrong word to use here. Because there should be no destination, Journey always should be endless. Thats the real journey. Now starting a new journey of my carreer under one of the strongest media brand in India Red FM gives me great feeling behind the mic. In my carreer now I have to forget the word SFM. But actually I cant forget that. Its in my soul & heart. I earned my first bread in this great company. Got many soulmates here... Cheers to SFM, Welcome RED FM..

Do tune into my show Retro Ratri at 10 in the night..

Sahir.. Whose Life is A Beautiful Poem Itself

Ek Shahjahan ne banake Tajmahal
Hasi udaaya hai hum gareebon ke pyar par...

Saahir an immortal poet ever seen in Indian Cinema. Sometimes when we are alone and feel cornered Saahir conquers our mind with some words!

Yeh mahalon yeh taqton
Yeh taajon ki duniya
Yeh insaan ke dushman
Riwazon ki duniya
Yeh duniya agara mil bhi jaaye toh kya hai!!

What should we do with this world. Sometimes we feel we are cornered by our own life. It reject the way we want to live. Well I want to quote a couplet from Pyaasa..

Jaane woh kaise log they
Jinake pyar ko pyar mila
Humne bhi jab kaliyaan maangi toh
Kaanton ka haar mila...

And at the end of the song Saahir says..

Gham se ab ghabrana kya
Gham sau baar mila...

Life is great teacher. It mislead us sometimes. Life do provoke us to love. We learn a lot from it but we fail to live those things.

In love too we fail to love our soulmate completely from the bottom of our heart. We will not be ready to give up our ego in front of our soulmate. We are so mean!! But Saahir provoide us a reason to love. Reason to hug and a reason to have a right on our soulmate.

Kabhi kabhi mere dil mein khayaal aata hai
Ki jaise tujhko banaya gaya hai mere liye
Tu abse pehle sitaaron mein bas rahi thi kahin
Tujhe zameen pe bulaya gaya hai mere liye

Indian cinema will always miss Saahir...

Mussanje Rangalli Ninna...

R N Jayagopal was the most prominent early lyricist in Kannada Cinema Industry. One of my most favourite songs is written by him only that is Naguva Nayana madhura Mauna... This is the best song to give hopes to your soulmate. There is a line in that song called

Geleya jotege haari baruve
Baana elle daati nalive...

Give us a special texture about love and hope. Reminds us the song Tere mere sapnay from the movie The Guide.

Unfortunately he is not with us now, but his last song still haunt me. Mussanje Rangalli Ninna from Psycho. That was his last song he wrote two days before his death. Hats Off to that great lyricist and his feelings which gave us some cult classic songs like Hoovu cheluvella nandenditu, Naguva nayana, Jotheyali and many more songs.

Would expect more lyricist like Shri R N Jayagopal.

Barrister Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi.

Well everybody tell that there is only one Gandhi in the world and I was wondering every time why people tell like this. Later I did realise that Yes!! Gandhi is a unique personality and moreover Gandhi is not a person Gandhi is a thought and we should realise that.

Because Barrister Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi is a person But Gandhi is a thought!!

Just imagine yourself in a position where you are in a country, You don know anybody there except the Sun & Moon. You have been kicked out from your office or house or from anywhere else. Now let me ask you a question now. What you would have done in that position? I know we are not able to fight in an unknown country. But Gandhi is a phenomenal person in this regard. He is strong enough to fight there. The all energy and intellectuality behind Gandhi is Baa. We all know that. Will write more about this in my future posts.

Well before I wind up let me tell you one thing...
There was a person called Harilal Gandhi also!

Like to Go Back !

Well Amitabh Bachchan render a cult classic dialogue in 1975 release Deewar. " Aap log door jaana chahte ho toh jao, Vaise toh main bahut door aa chuka hun, Mujhe toh vaapas jana hai... Even I am feeling like go back to theatre. After a week long long Bahuroopi activity I felt this. Because I use to have a lot of fun in Theatre. Whatever I am today an RJ or anything else its just because of theatre. Now that I have become quite popular I want to go back to my home. Where I can relive my good old days with my college pals and theatre. Desperately I need to do a play at this time. One year back I was working on the script Pinjar. Which is a famous Punjabi novel written by Smt.Amrita Pritam. When I was working on that script I use to feel that I am not that mature to handle that kind of sensitive script. But now I want to do that drama. Dunno when I will get time to do that... Pinjar for me is a wish. I wish to live the characters in that novel. Especially Pooro, Protagonist of the novel.

I worked for a play called Devarige Illen Kelsa!? written by Marathi playwright P L Deshpande, I played the protagonist i.e., GOD. in the climax I should say a dialogue " Everything is dark here... Only dark " Lord Krishna tell this when he step into Earth. Even now vaguely feeling that everything is dark in life without theatre. Sooner than later I should do a play. Long back I had watched a play called Buchchi-Dasu played by JSS womens college team at Rangayana, I was shut into tears after the play. The play deals with three stages of a couple who love each other so much. Love is a thing which can move even a stone. Like wise it did move me also. I am not a stone but still it moved me.

There is a movie called Saawariya directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. More than a cinema its a poetry. The protagonist of this film will be in a dillema that is he living in reality or in an extreme dreamland. Sanjay Sir have dealt this subject in a very creative way. It leaves you spellbound. It was based on a Russian story called White Nights written by Fyodor Doestovsky. The name of the story is itself an oximoronic image. We never get to see nights in white, but the story give us some White Nights which we can never forget in our life. Those nights are really so devine and pure so that you can love openly!!

Love to love again, Love to live again!!

Faith and Cheers
